Our courses offer a solid teaching method presented by a native French speaker.
We offer:
the latest technology to enhance communicative competency
skills, role playing, visual aids, videos,valuable insights into the people and culture of the French speaking countries
specific websites ( links) to enhance the language acquisition experience
The lessons are presented in the following manner:
vocabulary
grammar
conversation
“ lectures culturelles”
assessment & vocabulary
Students are expected to listen to the instructor and follow classroom procedures as per the SMA Cadet handbook and as posted on the wall in the classroom
each student will receive a textbook
grades will come from written class work, participation, homework, assessments and employability
grades are NOT negotiable
students will be assessed at the end of each unit; dates to be announced in class and on the website
students are responsible for completing assignments on time
homework is given frequently and is graded in class
tutoring is available with the instructor during lunch time
students are expected to work on the French lesson during class time; they may not work on any other assignments without obtaining prior permission from me
failure to follow the class rules will result in deduction of employability, and will be issued a classroom infraction report which could lead to more severe consequences
Absences:
students are responsible for finding out what was missed -- check the file in the class and check the lesson plans which are posted in the class daily
