Compare and Contrast Paper: Life of the Past versus Modern Day using a personal narrative and/or chronicle.

You have designed a new society based on historical facts from the past. It is now time to apply those facts and compare them to modern day. You will do this by writing a compare and contrast paper using the narrative La Relacion and or the chronicle Of Plymouth Plantation that you have read in class.

You will be assigned a two page paper (regular)/ 3 page paper (honors), comparing and contrasting modern day society to that of one of the following stories we have read thus far: La Relacion or Of Plymouth Plantation. This will be due on February 12^th.

Expectations:

Monday: Create a Graphic Organizer using your literature to compare and contrast one of the stories to modern day.

Tuesday: Create passages that you will quote from the text, to be placed on note cards.

Wednesday-Thursday: Begin writing rough copy of paper

Friday: Students will show the following to teacher in order: Graphic Organizer, Note cards, Rough Copy

Monday: Paper due! Please include works cited page. If you need help, you may go to English III website and look at the MLA example that I have provided. This will be typed, double spaced, size 12 font.  If no computer is available, you must write in blue/black pen in cursive. Regular English III: 4 pages written, Honors III: 5 pages written.
