Speech & Debate
Welcome to Speech & Debate where students will develop fundamental skills in formal and informal oral communication, as well techniques in the art of forensic debate. In both courses, research and critical thinking skills will be stressed, as will the review of various language arts skills such as listening, viewing, writing, and speaking. Students will have many opportunities to improve their debate and argumentation skills through classroom assignments and practice. Presentations will be videotaped for student review and critique on a regular basis. I invite you to review the course syllabus for more detail.
