The Fine Arts program at SMA "seeks excellence with honor in the educational and personal experience of each student." The Arts curriculum is essential in nurturing creativity, critical thinking and curiosity. The individual student is offered opportunities to develop a diversity of interests and abilities by participating in the fine arts program. Through experiences in visual art, drama and music, students are prepared for further study and lifelong appreciation of the arts. By integrating the fine arts with other disciplines the faculty emphasizes how the fine arts contribute to the development of our civilization as a whole.
