Thank you for choosing the Sarasota Military Academy for your student’s education. Our students receive a world-class education and outstanding leadership education.
However, there is more to an education than just academic classes. Our students have the opportunity to participate in numerous extra-curricular activities, from learning to fly an airplane to how to build a rope bridge, from precision drill team marching to precision marksmanship, from Academic Olympics to mentoring reading instruction to first and third grade students. All of these activities require you student to make choices on how and where they will devote their time.
The most important choice they make is the time they devote to their academic class work. To assist our students every department provides academic tutoring. Usually this is done after school Monday through Thursday. Some individual teachers provide extra instruction during the lunch period in their classroom. Every attempt has been made to provide assistance to academically struggling students.
However, students must avail themselves of these opportunities. They must make the choice to seek this extra assistance. As a parent, do not hesitate to contact your student’s teachers if you have questions about academic assistance. You can always contact me or your students Grade Level Administrator if you have any questions.
By working together we can see every student walk through the symbolic black gates at graduation.
