Welcome to Sarasota Military Academy. I am Brigadier General Frank Laudano, your new Commandant.
I have been a military officer on both Active Duty and in the Florida National Guard for over 31 years. Since 1993, I have taught mathematics and science at Laurel Middle School and mathematics at Riverview High School.
I am a 1980 graduate of Georgia Military College where I earned an Associate Degree in General Studies and a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics Education at the University of South Florida, and a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies from the Army War College.
My military education includes the Field Artillery Officer Basic and Advance Courses, the Rotary Wing Aviator Course, the Aircraft Maintenance Officer Repair Technician and Test Pilot Course, the Army Command and General Staff College, and the Army War College.
I am excited to be here at Sarasota Military Academy, and I know we will accomplish much together. This will be a rewarding and challenging experience, and I encourage you to take advantage of the many extracurricular activities available on campus.
