Community Service Opportunities for school year 2007-08
As always we thank the Rotary Club of Sarasota Keys for all that they do for our club and for the Sarasota Military Academy !
Here is a brief outline of activities for the upcoming school year.
Please remember ALL CADETS ARE WELCOMED anytime for any event and we meet every Tuesday for lunch in Room 43 ! There is no cost to join, no obligation to participate in any activity and no reason not to come and share your time with “the” community service club of S M A.
November: “Half-Relay” is here and City of Sarasota “Mayors Feed the Hungry” program.
December: Bell Ringing for Salvation Army with the Rotary Club of Sarasota Keys; St Armands Circle.
January: Welcome back and get to know you social. Possible Prom Dress Swap (fundraiser).
February: Valentines Day event and “Pay it Forward” week
March: support Juvenile Diabetes month (Juvenile Diabetes Walk-a-thon); possible car wash (fundraiser) and gear up for Relay for Life !
April: our premier event of the year – the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Beginning April 18th , Friday 6:00 pm until Saturday the 19th 11:00 am we will be at Sarasota High School supporting this global event. This is an overnight walk; requiring fundraising, parental and teacher permission slips, and 17 hours of Fun, Fun, Fun ! May: the conclusion of our year will be a special luncheon and election / installation of the new officers of the Interact Club for next school year (2008-09).
